Hello Readers, I hope you’re well. Yes, I’m here too!
At the 2020 Microsoft partner conference (aka Inspire), Microsoft announced (Session Code: IOD181) that from 1st of October to 31st March, they would be offering customers Audio Conferencing, free for a year. And free is good. So I thought I would look into it.
Promo Details:
- Audio Conferencing Promo: From October 1st, 2020 to March 31st, 2021, customers have the option of adding Microsoft 365 Audio Conferencing as an add-on SKU to a Microsoft 365 subscription for free for 12 months.
Who does this promo apply to?
- Net new customer tenants
- An existing customer tenant which does not have an active or recently cancelled (within the last 30 days) subscription on Audio Conferencing license on CSP, Web Direct, or any other Microsoft commercial channels.
What’s the catch?
There is none, just do it 😉
How do I do it?
You can either speak to your license provider, or if you have access to the license store you can “purchase” directly. Here’s how ⬇
Step 1: Purchase
Open the Microsoft 365 portal as an admin, Expand Billing and click on Purchase Services

Scroll down and click Add-ons

Scroll down again until you see Microsoft 365 Audio Conferencing Adoption Promo

Click on Details to open it and then Get Now

Choose a quantity and then Check Out Now

Click Next to review, then place your order

Once all is confirmed, you can assign the new licenses. Under billing, click on Licenses

Then find the Audio Conferencing licenses in the list and select it

Next click on Assign Licenses

On the right, start searching for users you want to assign the license to, then click Assign

And that’s it

Once the licenses are assigned, these users can schedule Teams meetings which will include conference dial-in numbers.

I hope this was useful. See you next time
